Accessibility
Built for every visitor.
Booking a cut should be easy for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, zoom or voice control.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the most widely used standard for accessible websites. We check new work with a keyboard, screen-reader labels and phone-sized screens, and we fix problems as we find them.
What we’ve built in
- Every photo has a text description, and every button and icon has a label a screen reader can announce.
- The site works with a keyboard, with a visible outline showing where you are and a link to skip straight to the content.
- Buttons are sized and spaced for easy tapping on a phone.
- Text and buttons use strong color contrast.
- The video of the shop plays without sound and has a pause button, and the site respects your device’s reduce-motion setting.
Known limits
Booking runs on Square, directions on Google Maps, and reviews and posts on Google and Instagram. Those pages are run by those companies, so their accessibility is outside our control. If one gives you trouble, call us and we’ll book you by phone.
Tell us what’s not working
If anything on this site is hard to use, we want to know. Call 571-567-5766 or email vqbarbershop01@gmail.com with the page and the problem. We’ll fix what we can and help you book in the meantime.
